Ukrainian Hotel and Resort Association

Ukrainian Hotel and Resort Association is a non-profit public entity serving as an umbrella organization uniting on volunteer basic hotels and resorts operating or under development in Ukraine. The main goal is to support SMEs in the Ukrainian hospitality industry, provide the terms for the stable operation and strengthen their competitive ability, to increase the investments attractiveness of the sector.

1. GR – Participation in policy development and legislative changes

The Association's representatives are actively involved in developing state strategies, particularly in cooperation with the State Agency for Tourism Development. We promote and defend the industry's interests at the national level and due to the status of HOTREC and HSU member UHRA is part of the strong international community on the EU level.

1. EXPERTISE – Consultations and trainings

Since 2021, UHRA has organized more than 20 educational events in various formats for industry representatives. The organization has regularly hosted the Cold Start event, where international and national hotel industry experts conduct training seminars and lead discussion panels. UHRA representatives also participate in numerous conferences focused on business challenges and provide various opportunities for members to develop their professional skills.

1. DATA BANK – Market reviews, reports, and research

Through monitoring the national market and maintaining extensive international relations, the Association has access to up-to-date information in the hospitality sector. It analyzes and systematizes this information for sharing and use within the Ukrainian hotel community and in international communications. Various research studies and focused surveys are a significant part of this activity, including studies on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the market, the hotel industry's activity in the first year of the Russian-Ukrainian war, and the labor market analysis.

1. CONNECTION – Promotion and international relations

UHRA cooperates with more than 20 national hotel associations under the Hotel Stars Union. To support the education of Ukrainian hoteliers, UHRA has established links with HSMAI and AHLA, providing opportunities for education and professional experience exchange with the U.S. hospitality sector. Cooperation with Ukrainian partners and international institutions is formalized through the signing of memorandums and is continually progressing.
