Main Objective
Lviv IT Cluster supports the development of the IT industry at the local and state levels, strengthens the competitive position of Ukraine’s IT education, and makes all efforts to ensure that the IT business in Ukraine works uninterruptedly, even under the most uncertain conditions.
Activities And Services
Cluster has 19 key projects to support the development and sustainability of the Ukrainian IT sector while strengthening regional security.
- Education
Lviv IT Cluster launched 19 bachelor programs across four national universities over the past seven years. The IT Future project, initiated in 2017, educates students about the IT industry. During wartime, MDT, Lviv IT Cluster, and USAID CEP launched the IT Generation project for job seekers affected by the war, attracting over 40,000 applicants and selecting more than 2,000 students.
- Community Development
Cluster facilitates tech sector communities and runs the mentoring project "Founders’ Dialogue", which connects CEOs to share experiences, network, and foster mentorship within the IT community.
- Research
Since 2015, Cluster conducted comprehensive research on the tech industry in Lviv. In 2021, Cluster expanded to the entire Western region and provided vital data on export, migration attitudes, and revenue losses during the war. In December 2023, Cluster released an updated nationwide IT market research report.
- Support for SMEs
The IT Club Loyalty project builds a community of IT companies and small to medium-sized businesses, providing tools to motivate employees, retain staff, and attract loyal B2C customers.
- Promotion
Cluster hosts events to foster collaboration between public and private sectors, including the IT Meets series for knowledge exchange and networking. The IT Arena is Ukraine's premier tech conference, with over 3,300 attendees from 17 countries in 2023. Cluster promotes the Ukrainian IT industry globally through the LvivTech platform and by organizing trade missions and participation in major tech conferences.
- Support for Victory
Victory projects aim to assist businesses, civilians, the military, and critical infrastructure during wartime, thereby strengthening regional security.
